Empowerment Medicine Practitioner Training: NUTRITION
Incorporate nutritional counseling into your existing healing practice, or be ready to start seeing your own patients!
Good nutrition is an essential part of any wellness program. But, there are many experts on the subject and they all seem to contradict one another… Wouldn’t it be refreshing to learn the basics that all nutrition scientists affirm? This course will cover exactly what the body needs to be vibrantly healthy, happy and strong.
Building on the basic science, you will learn to translate this information into recommendations that clients can easily apply--in the grocery store, in the kitchen, and at the dining table. You will advise clients in little sustainable steps that are easy to follow and they will tell you about better health, less illness, more fun, and delicious meals.
The course will emphasize individualized nutritional recommendations as well as techniques to support behavioral change. You will assist clients in making good food choices and sticking to their goals.
In this training you will learn:
- How to speak your patient’s language when discussing food.
- The 7 Dos and Don’ts of healthy eating.
- How traditional cultures maintained healthy bodies through superior nutrition.
- The myths and truths about fat in the diet.
- How to double the nutritional value of foods your patients already eat.
- The basic skills needed to help anyone improve their diet.
You will understand:
- How macronutrients and micronutrients interact in foods.
- How food choices are influenced by your patients emotions.
- The long lasting effects of genetically modified foods and food additives.
This training consists of a four month home study program, two weekend trainings (Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am-5:00 pm), Twice monthly teleclasses (Tuesday evenings 8:00-10:00 pm EST), and lots of fun.
