What are Dreams?
Rodd Stockwell, MD
Every night you go to sleep physically and you wake up inside. You have inner experiences and you prepare for the coming day.
Your Inner Self assesses where you are and, in the form of dreams, communicates what is important and what needs attention. With a little training you will decode these messages and use this wisdom throughout the day.
Your Inner Self knows the fastest way to get you where you want to go. Through your dreams, it gives personal guidance for negotiating today's terrain with ease. The day's challenges become exciting and fun. Everyone has such a guide! Your dreams are that guidance.
Do you want to live by your Inner Guidance?
Step one: Remember your dreams. Every night before going to bed tell yourself that you will remember your dreams and that you want the guidance they offer.
Step two: Write them down. Have a notebook and pen beside your bed--in the morning, before anything else, write down your dream.
Step three: Interpret your dreams. Getting the full benefit from your dream requires translating the symbolic language of your dream into English.
Step four: Grab the lesson. Then, relate the dream's message to your outer life. Dreams are not hypothetical! They are making concrete suggestions about the choices you’ll face in the coming day. By making choices based on that Inner Guidance you grow spiritually.
